# Lunar gov-tech cover — light stage, glassy logotype, masked moon

Learned 2026-08-13 replicating the Quorra cover ("Cover original", node
6:305 in Quorra DS, file `<figma-quorra-ds>`).

- **Stage**: #F9FAFB canvas, radius 8, with a two-part shadow — a
  teal-tinted ambient drop (#026E78 at 13%, offset 0/13, blur 48, spread
  -12) and a 1px white inner top rim (#FFFFFF at 25%, offset 0/-1,
  blur 4). The tinted drop shadow anchors a light card on a light page;
the inner rim reads as an edge catching light from above.
- **Glassy logotype**: vector letterforms filled #00687E; the stroke is a
linear gradient white → white@15% at 0.92px OUTSIDE; a GLASS effect
(radius ≈3.7) frosts what sits behind the letterforms. Gradient stroke
plus glass effect is the whole trick — no bevel layer exists.
- **Aurora corners ("boreal")**: a photographic aurora asset placed inside
a small frame at 46% opacity, the image several times larger than the
frame so the frame crops a soft color wash. Used twice, opposite
  corners, opposite offsets.
- **Masked moon — rendered and seen 2026-08-13 (isolated)**: a circle
mask over an oversized moon photograph (1.4 MB fill), two
radial-gradient ellipses in OVERLAY blend on top — white → transparent
at 56% for the lit limb, black → transparent at 70% for the shade —
and a separate LAYER_BLUR 162 ellipse as soft shadow. An atomic
unhide → screenshot → re-hide confirmed the element: a grayscale
photographic full moon whose limb rises from the bottom-right of the
mask circle, a moonrise. In situ it still contributes zero pixels: the
group ships `visible: false` and sits fully outside the frame's clip
in the original (Quorra v.0, node 75:2607) and in the replica — dead
content, faithfully carried. This entry's first version called it
cropped-on-purpose from structure alone; the correction and the render
came the same day. Its composition on the cover has still never been
seen anywhere. The user chose to keep it hidden (2026-08-13); the
source photograph is banked as the `Asset/Moon` component on the
🖼️ Assets page of Quorra DS, alongside `Asset/Aurora`.
- **Type**: Mulish Regular 32 at 150% leading, #797979, centered under
the logotype. The cover face (Mulish) is deliberately different from
  the product face (Figtree).
